Famous Ferry face Lorraine Kelly was doing her bit this week to promote the seaside town’s ever popular annual Gala festivities.
Broughty Ferry’s Gala Week opens on Sunday with the Gala Day fete at the Castle Green at 1 p.m. and is followed by a week long series of events.
A well-known figure both on television and in the cafes and shops of Broughty Ferry Lorraine Kelly was delighted to add her support to the event which is organised by The Broughty Ferry Community Gala Committee and supported by The Broughty Ferry Traders’ Association.
She said: “Broughty Ferry Gala week is always such a fun filled event. There’s so much to see and do for all the family. It’s not to be missed.”
The week continues with the now legendary window spotting competition where members of The Broughty Ferry Traders’ Association display an article in their windows which they do not sell. This year there are 71 traders involved.
There are several events every day of the week including the Sand Sculpture Competition, Pavement Drawing Competition, Antiques Roadshow, Quiz Nights, Family Fun Night, Fishing Competition, Bonnie Baby Competition and many more.
