Tomorrow (Saturday) is Clean Europe Day which fits well with the resolve of friends and residents of East Haven.
A beach clean has been planned for tomorrow afternoon between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and is part of their pledge to Clean Up Scotland.
Carnoustie Canine Capers’ Green Dog Walkers initiative will join forces with residents to encourage dog walkers to leave paw prints only in the Ha’en.
As an added incentive to encourage people to come along, there will be another opportunity for people to view the stunning display of Heritage Bunting which was recently exhibited in Carnoustie Library.
Also taking place tomorrow approximately 70 cub scouts from all over Angus will descend on East Haven to learn more about the ancient fishing community.
The Cubs are walking from Elliot to Carnoustie and will stop in East Haven for lunch where they will be met by residents from the Ha’en.
There will be an opportunity for the Cubs to view the 123 panels of heritage bunting.
Each panel tells a story about East Haven and together they tell the whole story of East Haven from 1214 to the present day.
Gordon Brand, Cub Scout leader, has devised a quiz based on the heritage of East Haven to encourage the Cubs to learn as much as possible.
