The Carnoustie Choir in rehearsal for their concert on March 25.

The finishing touches are being applied to the programme for the forthcoming annual spring concert of Carnoustie Choir.

At 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, the 60 plus strong choir will take to the stage at St Anne’s Church, to present another evening of beautiful choral music.

Pieces so far confirmed by musical director Stewart Fyffe hint at a diverse selection, they include the chorus from ‘Pirates of Penzance’, ‘Sanctus’ from ‘Faure Requiem’, ‘Panis Angelicus’, the chorus from Alexander Borodin’s ‘Polovtsian Dances’, the Military Wives’ number one hit ‘Wherever You Are’ and some from the James Bond stable and ‘The Sound Of Music’.

The young brass group Con Fuoco Brass will also return this year. The choir will be accompanied by Sheena Guthrie on piano.

Tickets are £5 for adults and schoolchildren are free.
