An information session on Wednesday will explain all the plans for the Commonwealth Games event coming to our area this summer.
Residents and businesses from Carnoustie and Barry have been invited to the Beach Hall, Carnoustie Leisure Centre on Wednesday evening with doors opening at 5.30 p.m. for a 6 p.m. start.
The session will be hosted by the organising committee of Glasgow 2014 who will explain about the impact on local traffic, services and facilities provided by Angus Council and Police Scotland.

Around 1,500 spectators are expected on each day of the shooting competition, which takes place from Friday, July 25, to Tuesday, July 29, at the Barry Buddon Shooting Range.
In addition hundreds of competitors and officials will be staying in Angus and Dundee, where satellite Games Villages will be established.
