Family’s worry for missing Arbroath man

Alan Kelly hasn't been seen since Wednesday evening.

Police say there is considerable concern for a missing Arbroath man who was ‘acting out of character’ before he went missing.

Alan Kelly (47) of Bellevue Gardens hasn’t been seen since Wednesday evening and there has been no sightings of him since.

The last person to see him was his sister and police say that recently, Mr Kelly has been acting in a manner considered by his family to be out of character and which is of a real concern to them.

He is described as being about 5’9’’ in height, stocky build, short dark brown hair which is beginning to go grey.

He is known to regularly wear a woolly hat, black jacket with double pockets on both sides of the front of the jacket and jeans. He uses glasses but does not always wear them.

Mr Kelly’s family are desperate to determine he is safe and well and request that if anyone has knowledge of where he might be to contact police on 101 or speak to any officer.
