Residents in a peaceful Carnoustie estate were evacuated from their homes last night (Wednesday) after a house fire broke out.
Fire Scotland received a call from the public at 10.34 p.m. reporting a fire in a house in a cul-de-sac in Ravensby Road, and three appliances and an ambulance were dispatched.
It is understood that the fire was in the hallway of the mid-terrace house.
Firefighters deployed six breathing apparatus units, a hose reel, two covering jets and used a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan to extract smoke from the property.
All persons were accounted for from the affected house and neighbouring properties were evacuated.
The Hydro Board was also called to isolate the property electrically.
Officers from Police Scotland were in attendance to cordon the area off while the fire crews worked.
