A Monifieth brother and sister are ‘coming home’ this weekend to help stage a fund-raising night of comedy.

Fraser and Jill Baxter are both former pupils of Monifieth High School and tonight (Friday) and tomorrow they will be raising cash for Monifieth Amateur Dramatic with their show ‘Is it Something We Said?’ along with performers Mick Watson and Sean Dowling.

Fraser is an accountant in Edinburgh who has been involved in Fringe Festival plays and received a four-star review for ‘Trouble at the Tollbooth’ in 2011.

Sister Jill has been performing stand-up comedy at the Fringe for years and has performed at the Stand and the Comedy Store, London.

Jill said: “The main reason we’re doing this is to raise funds for the Monifieth Theatre Group as it’s in danger of closing and that would be a massive loss to the community.”

The show starts both nights at 7.30 p.m. and tickets, costing £8 or £6, are available by calling 01382 480043.
