Top-class Angus restaurant Gordon’s has scored another shining accolade, this time in the service department.
Set in the quaint village of Inverkeilor, Gordon’s is a long-standing destination restaurant which has been running for 29 years and already boasts an impressive 3 AA Rosette rating for the food.
“Gordon’s offers cuisine that could be similar to a top city restaurant but with the friendly service of a local restaurant,” said head chef Garry Watson.
“Achieving the 3 AA rosettes for the standard of cooking and quality of ingredients has been a personal goal of mine since becoming a chef. It took years of hard work and dedication.”
The restaurant with rooms has undergone a stylish transformation, earning further industry praise along the way.
“A five gold star award is an impressive leap, to make [Gordon’s] a shining example of a family run business operating at the very highest level,” said Mike Atkinson, AA Hotel and Restaurant inspector.
Five gold stars in the restaurant with rooms category is the highest level of award possible.
“Running a restaurant is not like a normal job, it’s a way of life. We are very passionate about the business and always put our customers first,” continued Garry.
Inspected on overall quality, service, hospitality and housekeeping, Gordon’s achieved top marks in each aspect.
Garry added: “The food and dining scene is very much in vogue, people’s expectations are becoming higher not just in the food but in their surroundings.
“Working with family can present unique challenges however we all strive for perfection and feel this gives us a consistent standard at all times. Knowledge passed through generations can be business’ strength.”
