People in Arbroath can help direct changes in their built environment thanks to consultations with the TAYplan team next week. The Strategic Development Planning Authority, TAYplan, is keen to hear the public’s ideas for the next plan looking at where new jobs, houses and green networks should be located. Planners will be in Arbroath’s Webster Memorial Theatre between 3 and 7 p.m., Thursday, May 1, and would also like to hear how issues including climate change will impact Angus over the next 20 years.
Since the plan was first approved in 2012 the strategy is being refreshed to take into account environmental and other changes. TAYplan was set up in 2008 to create a strategy for the location of major development in Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross and North Fife council areas. Further information on the consultation, including how to take part, and the role of TAYplan, can be found on www.tayplan-sdpa.gov.uk
