Carnoustie High School's Miss Harrison with Senior Young Musician of the Year winner Jacqueline Stark.

Carnoustie High School's Miss Harrison with Senior Young Musician of the Year winner Jacqueline Stark.

At the fantastic joint event of Young Musician and Summer Concert on Tuesday, June 10, the Senior Young Musician of the Year 2013-14 was chosen.

Well done to all who took part in a thoroughly enjoyable evening and the standard of musicianship was excellent and Miss Harrison the adjudicator had a very difficult task in finding a winner, with Jacqueline Stark the eventual winner.

Congratulations to her and her tough competition of Natasha Lee, Jock Graham and Mark Donnachie on making Miss Harrison’s task a real challenge - they were all so strong and talented and performed brilliantly.

The concert not only featured very talented pupils, but also the talented pupils of the cluster primary schools, very ably supported by the visiting musical instructors/tutors of all the schools.

Thanks again to them for their continued support and assistance.

Also included in this huge thanks is all the staff who helped with the organisation and successful running of the event, and the Rotary for their continued in support in sponsoring the event, which was hugely appreciated by the Expressive Arts Curriculum Group and all the audience of parents, families and their invited guests.

Intermediate winner: Christopher Flynn , runner-up: Ellen Kerr, junior winner: Finlay McGhee, runner-up: Sabine Crozier.
