CARNOUSTIE posties have taken on the Movember challenge and are growing moustaches for charity.
The money is being raised to help the Royal Mail’s new charity partner Prostate Cancer UK.
Seven members of staff will be growing moustaches and all the money raised will be matched by Royal Mail.
During Movember last year, or November to the non-moustachioed, £22 million was raised by around 254,000 ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’, which went towards helping the 250,000 British men living with prostate cancer.
Royal Mail’s delivery director for North and East Scotland, Paul Kelly, said: “We have a proud history of charitable fund-raising at Royal Mail In fact, we’re Guinness World Record holders.
“I am very confident that the generosity of our people in Carnoustie will help to raise money for this very worthy cause during Movember and in the year ahead.”
Owen Sharp, chief executive of Prostate Cancer UK, added: “We are delighted that Royal Mail employees in Carnoustie will be taking part in Movember.”
