A Carnoustie woman who ‘moonlights’ as the treasurer to her local Scout troop has just been made a partner in an accountancy firm.

Fiona Morgan was recently made a partner of Henderson Loggie, having been with the company since 1997 specialising as an advisor to high-end small and medium enterprise (SME) companies in a number of industries.

She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Commerce from the Dundee Institute of Technology (now Abertay University) and joined the Dundee branch of KPMG in 1993.

Fiona moved to Henderson Loggie’s Dundee office four years later and was based there until 2010 when she was promoted to director and moved to the Aberdeen office.

She said: “Aberdeen and the North East have many excellent businesses, and our aim is to continue delivering the support and advice that existing clients require while also targeting organic growth by adding new clients.

“Clearly, the oil and gas sector is important but we have also identified opportunities in other sectors including food and drink and leisure and tourism, also sectors where I have experience of advising a range of clients.”

David Smith, managing partner of Henderson Loggie, told the Guide & Gazette: “We are very pleased to announce this latest set of promotions and they demonstrate that there are excellent prospects for building a challenging, enjoyable and successful career with Henderson Loggie.”

In addition to her involvement with the Scouts Fiona also supports her young sons who are both keen footballers.
