Police are keen to trace people who caused alarm to a 13-year-old in Carnoustie yesterday (Wednesday).
The three were occupants of a blue Vauxhall Corsa that was parked in car park on the south side of Tayside Street, across from the train platform at Station Road.
The female driver of the car, thought to be about 18-19-years-old, called out to a 13-year-old schoolboy in an attempt to get him to come over to her as he passed the car shortly after 4 p.m.
However, he was concerned by her speaking to him and the comments of two men in the car and so he walked away. The rear seat passenger is described as being balding or having very short hair.
The teenager told a family member straight away and the police were contacted.
Officers are keen to establish the circumstances around the incident and would appeal for the occupants of the vehicle to get in touch by calling 101. Equally, anyone who has information that could assist enquiries should call the police, or speak to their local officer.
Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
