The chaps at Arbroath’s RNLI were brushing up their casualty lifting skills accompanied by a Navy helicopter in an exercise on May 11.

The exercise took place at sea with the Royal Navy rescue helicopter Navy 177, based at HMS Gannet in Prestwick.

The exercise involved lifting a casualty directly from the lifeboat onto the helicopter while at sea. The routine was practised for both the all-weather and inshore lifeboats.
