Following the success of the ‘Giants in the Forest’ event at Crombie Country Park in April Monikie Country Park will soon get their own visit.

The ‘Giants in the Forest’ are a series of large sculptures, in the shape of heads, made of natural materials which will grow and change with the seasons.

The heads will be decorated and lifted into place during the morning of Monday September 1.

This process can be viewed up until 12 noon.

In the afternoon, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., members of the public can view the heads in the most exciting way by climbing the giant’s 40 foot high tower, riding the thrilling zip line past the heads into the giant’s cauldron and then abseiling to the ground and to freedom.

These sessions are free but booking is essential (car parking fees apply). This will be dependant on the weather.

Participants can book a maximum of two places and each booking is for one run per person.

Height and weight restrictions apply.

To book your free place call 01382 370202 or email monikiepark@angus.gov.uk.
