The summer sun has shone on the efforts of Carnoustie Panmure to develop football in the town and they have been helped by much needed donations.
As part of the club’s efforts to improve the sport in Carnoustie they have been working towards the construction of a brand new all-weather pitch to replace the ailing facilities available.
Carnoustie Panmure was recently the beneficiary of over £4,000 from the For Carnoustie charity shop.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Thank you very much to everyone at For Carnoustie for their pledge of £2,000 towards our new 3G pitch. Your support for the sport and the youth of the town is much appreciated. This facility will make a huge difference to the town - thanks very much.”
A further £1,000 was awarded to the Carnoustie Panmure Football Academy for purchasing equipment, the Under-10s were given £360 to buy team jackets to keep them dry and the Under-9s received £800 which was used to buy new tracksuits for the players.
Manager Gary Hamilton said: “We are very grateful to For Carnoustie and would like to thank them very much for this fantastic donation.”
Carnoustie Panmure is keen to return the favour and is urging anyone having a clear out at home this summer to donate their unwanted items to For Carnoustie who will in turn invest the proceeds in the community.
