Trains between Arbroath and Dundee were disrupted briefly this morning (Thursday) after a vehicle struck a Monifieth bridge.

At around 10 a.m. it was reported that services had been halted as the result of a vehicle collision with a ‘road under rail’ bridge on South Street between Tay Street and Reform Street.

Just over an hour later Network Rail engineers had given the bridge the all clear and services resumed, albeit with around a 15 minute delay expected to most services until around 11.30 a.m.
