A local charity is appealing to women for help by offering their time as a volunteer.

The Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre Dundee & Angus has been in operation for 30 years and the recent high profile media cases have seen a 52 per cent increase in the demand for it’s support services.

And to meet that demand, the centre is looking for women to be trained as volunteer befrienders.

They will need to be able to volunteer for up to four hours per week, during the day on weekdays.

They are looking for women who are confident, have excellent communication skills and would have an interest in supporting women to engage in social and physical activities.

If you would like to get involved contact the centre on 01382 205556 or email info@wrasac.org.uk.
