TWO MEMBERS of Carnoustie Coastguards received awards for 40 years’ service at a ceremony in the clubrooms of the Carnoustie branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland last Wednesday evening.

Pictured with certificates are - Jim Ritchie (left), who has also retired from the service, and Steve Parsley with the other members looking on.

The awards were presented by Bill Speirs (left centre), coastal safety manager. Anyone who would like to become a volunteer coastguard should contact Lindsay Martin, Station Officer, at the Carnoustie Coastguard Station for an information pack.
