PUPILS who commenced first year of secondary school at Arbroath High School in August, 1962, are being sought by organisers of a class reunion to be held in late summer.
Janet Williamson (Perkins) who organised a very successful event in 1999, intends to hold another to coincide with the 50th anniversary of her school year commencing at Arbroath High.
It is intended to hold the reunion on Saturday, September 8, between 7.30 p.m. and 1 a.m. in the Meadowbank Inn, Arbroath, to which all classmates are invited.
A nostalgic evening is planned that will include a school quiz, music from the school era, display of memorabilia, and hopefully messages from classmates who cannot attend.
There will be plenty of opportunity to catch up with ‘old’ classmates in the course of the evening. Janet explained that whilst the whereabouts of approximately 60 are known, the majority of the class cannot be traced.
Accordingly, lists have been issued to the known individuals, asking them to advise of any information whereby the remainder could be traced.
Former classmates, and anyone who has any information is asked to contact her at 1a Panbride Street, Carnoustie, DD7 6BT, tel: 01241 854756 e-mail: email@example.com or Malcolm J.B. Finlayson, 11 Bankhead Crescent, Arbroath, DD11 2DP, tel: 01241 871446 e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
