Lot going on at the library

Staff in Carnoustie library are currently looking forward to Book Week Scotland which runs from Monday.

The library will be hold a series of meet the author events throughout the branch and mobile libraries.

Derek Meikleham will be the special guest on Monday, when he will be sharing some of his humorous reminiscences in verse about the Dundee that was.

This will be the first time Derek has spoken at an Angus libraries event and his book

entitled ‘Nostalgia’s no’ what it used to be’ was a bestseller in Dundee although he now lives in Carnoustie.

Programmes with full details of events are available now in all libraries, all events are free and places can be reserved by contacting the local library.

In other news, our learning centre at Carnoustie Library is now closed in order to complete essential maintenance.

This means that there will be no computer access but customers should notice an improved service upon completion of the work.
