A man has been arrested following an incident in Wellbank which required the attendance of specialist Police Scotland riot officers.

Police were called to the Angus village early on Sunday morning after reports were received of a man’s concerning behaviour.

It is understood that a number of windows were broken at an address in Wellbank during the incident and officers in riot gear were spotted at the scene.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a disturbance at an address in Kingennie Road, Wellbank that happened on Sunday (October 9). A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
