Monifieth Befriending Scheme recently recognised the efforts of their volunteers with an awards evening celebrating over 130 years of combined service.
It took place on Wednesday in the Community Resource Cabin. A total of 21 volunteers, out of a possible 33, attended and received certificates marking their service.
Bronze certificates were awarded to those with three or four years service, silver for those with five to nine years and gold for those with over 10 years volunteering.
Flowers and certificates were presented to two volunteers who had recently retired after eight years service, Nan Shepherd and Glen Hopkins.
Founder members Sheila Chalmers and Emma Whitton also received flowers in recognition of their long service, while chair and founder member Derrick Gourlay received a bottle of wine.
