Historian Forbes Inglis visited the Signal Tower Museum on Tuesday to give a talk entitled ‘Murders and Misdeeds in Dundee and Angus’.
In this his third published book, Forbes investigates the men and women accused of capital crimes in Angus and Dundee during the 18th and 19th centuries.
He examined the stories behind their trials and postulated as to whether modern forensic techniques might have resulted in different sentences.
Forbes has been a full time author since 2000 and has previously published ‘Phantoms and Fairies’ and ‘The Sea Enriches’. ‘Murder and Misdeeds’ is on sale now.
