TOMORROW is a special Saturday for Carnoustie folk as it is the day their very own, local, charity shop is due to open.
Already painted an unmissable lime green, the premises at 89 High Street are filling with donations ready to be turned into contributions for the benefit of people in the town.
The grand opening is at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) when the trustees, councillors, Babs and Dave Hodgson and their volunteers will welcome little Brooke Ramsay, whose parents and friends are collecting vigorously for her operation.
Local shops have been selling raffle tickets and the grand draw - with prizes contributed by local businesses and individuals - will be made on Saturday morning.
Dave and Babs are continuing to collect items for sale including bric-a-brac, books, records, clothes, small items of furniture, etc. Items can be delivered to the shop on the High Street or if you call 852292 they can arrange collection.
