The group has recently formed after holding popular taster sessions over the past few months and will be meeting every second Wednesday evening.

The club is primarily aimed at creating and developing a greater understanding of photography and the skills required, in a relaxed, supportive environment.

“We also want to promote good relationships between members who may want to work together on projects or arrange photography excursions,” said newly appointed vice chairperson Anne Johnston of Anne Johnston Photography.

The group are also keen to support anyone who wants to learn for the purpose of fulfilling criteria of The Saltire Award or other similar award schemes.

Regular meetings will feature experts and allow novices to share and develop their ideas.

This is an exciting new club for the community and to find out more and how to get involved there is a free information evening will be held at Voluntary Action Angus, Guthrie Port, on Wednesday, August 27, from 6.30 - 8.30 p.m. Or for more information join the
