A PHOTOGRAPHY exhibition by artist Chris Park is now showing in Arbroath Library’s Gallery.
The show entitled ‘Dualism: Portraits and Poems’ is an exhibition that combines poetry with a portrait of its author.
The exhibition, which began in The Meffan Gallery in Forfar back in January, is touring across the UK and Ireland over the next two years.
The poets featured in the exhibition were selected via a submission process by the project’s commissioning editor, Thom Laycock. The project includes some of the most gifted poets based in Scotland, or of Scottish origin.
Chris works in the medium of photography and digital imaging and is influenced by painterly devices, contemporary print, fashion and art photography.
He is from Lisburn, Northern Ireland but moved to Dundee to study Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone.
Chris has exhibited widely and has won several major awards including the RSA Keith Prize and the RSA John Kinross Scholarship, and recently he was shortlisted to photograph Her Majesty the Queen.
The exhibition opened to the public on Saturday and runs until Saturday, July 2, 2011, admission free.
