New handrail installed

FOLK in the Balgillo area who took up the issue of the need for a handrail between Dunshelt Road and Kennoway Place are delighted that Dundee City Council has recently installed one and one of the first to use it was local resident John Corrigan.

Ferry Councillor Kevin Cordell who took the issue up with the council was on hand to inspect it once the paint had dried.

He said: “Residents had problems negotiating this steep walkway between Dunshelt Road and Kennoway Place especially in winter and there had been several incidents of people falling. So I’m delighted that the council has acted and put in a handrail on the slope.”
