Angus Council began work this morning (Monday) on a £37,000 playpark project in Carnoustie.
The new playpark in Chapman Drive will include a multi-unit with two slides and climbing frame, two springer units, swings for different age groups and a roundabout, which can be used by everyone including wheelchair users.
The location and style of the playpark meets the new standard for Angus play areas, which is based on national standards for outdoor sport and play provision.
The new playpark is being sited in north east Carnoustie as that area does not currently have a playpark. It will provide a play area for children up to nine years old, within walking distance of their homes.
The work on site will take three to four weeks to complete. Angus Council is investing £37,000 in the project and the work is being carried out by the parks maintenance team.
