ANGUS residents and visitors to the area are reminded of the arrangements for treatment of roads and pavements over the New Year holiday period, as set out in the council’s winter road maintenance policy.
On New Year’s Day, category one and two roads will be treated as a normal Saturday. There will be no treatments of pavements and footpaths. A normal Sunday service will be carried out on January 2.
On Monday, January 3, and Tuesday, January 4, there will be a public holiday service.
The A90 and A92 are treated 24 hours by Bear Scotland.
A spokesperson for Angus Council said: “The road and pavement treatment schedules take account of the reduced volume of traffic over the holiday period. Full details of the road and pavements treatment schedules can be found at www.angus.gov.uk under winter road maintenance.”
