No-one injured in West Ferry house fire

NO-ONE was injured in a house fire in West Ferry on Friday evening.

Firefighters were called to the outbreak in a residential property in Fairfield Road just before 7 p.m.

Four units, two tenders from Kingsway Fire Station and one from Balmossie and the command support unit from Kingsway, were in attendance.

The fire was in the first floor bedroom of the house which was entered by four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. It was extinguished using one hosereel and one jet.

Fortunately, the occupants had left the building before the emergency services arrived.

Firefighters spent some time cutting away and damping down and the last unit left the scene at 7.38 p.m.
