Angus South MSP Graeme Dey is encouraging people to nominate their Angus good causes for a chance at gaining extra funding.

On Wednesday the application process opened for the Bank of Scotland Community Fund, and around 200 good causes could benefit from grants of up to £3,000.

Last year over 370,000 votes were cast and grants were used to improve the lives of more than 60,000 people across Scotland.

Mr Dey said: “I can think of many good causes across Angus who would welcome securing a grant from the Fund and I would therefore encourage local people to put these forward for consideration.”

Nominations can be made online at Once nominated, groups will be invited to directly apply online. Nominations will close on April 30, with applications remaining open until May 9.
