Creature washed up on shore

FOLLOWING a tip off last Wednesday, our staff photographer was able to get a picture of this unidentified partially decomposed denizen of the deep.

It was judged to be around two feet long and was within a five-minute walk of the Easthaven car park.

The Guide and Gazette was able to tentatively identify the body as one belonging to a juvenile Harbour Porpoise which frequents Scottish coastal areas.

We would be interested to hear from anyone who can positively identify it and explain how it might have ended up on our shores.
