A TALENTED Monifieth teenager has been given a potentially career launching opportunity.
Paige Morrison (17), won a three-year scholarship worth £42,000 from London’s Bird College of Dance, Music and Theatre.
Paige came out ahead of over 3,000 other applicants for the coveted grant, which will allow her to train at one of the UK’s leading dance schools.
However, Paige and her parents will still need to cover the cost of top-up tuition fees, around £1,300, plus the estimated £13,000 to £15,000 needed to live in London.
This is not Paige’s first scholarship, at the age of 11 she won one of 10 places at the Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow, beating 1,200 other girls.
Understandably, her mother is very proud: “It’s not bad for a wee girl from Monifieth.”
