Heather Kelly, chairperson, said: “We are so excited to be putting on this event again this year and can’t wait to bring the community together to kick off the New Year with a chilly dip in the North Sea at Arbroath harbour.”

Gillian McManus, Cancer Research UK relationship manager in Scotland, added: “We are absolutely delighted that the Relay for Life committee has organised the New Year Dook again this year to raise vital funds. Cancer Research UK has made enormous progress in the fight against the disease. However, we have only been able to do this thanks to the dedication and commitment of our volunteers and supporters who will take on this challenge.”
