Royal Marines organise silence in memory of The Queen

The East of Scotland branch of The Royal Marines Association observed a two-minute silence at 8pm on Sunday in memory of Her Majesty The Queen.

Branch chairman laid a wreath at the Infirmary Brae Royal Marine’ Globe and Laurel garden.

Current serving Marines, Members of The RMA Riders and Royal Artillery along with other service personnel also attended.The veterans gathered around the globe and laurel display and the branch standard-bearers Roddy Campbell RM and Graham Reed RM lowered their colours during the silence. Afterwards a piper played a lament and thereafter the veterans retired to The Royal British Legion for refreshments.
