A MONIFIETH widow has been emotionally traumatised by the thoughtless actions of a vandal.
Marion Goodfellow had a plaque commissioned to commemorate her husband David, and attached it to a bench at a favourite spot.
The plaque read “David Goodfellow 1955-2009. This man liked to laugh and loved this view.” and was placed outside the Royal Tay Yacht Club overlooking the River Tay.
To her horror she discovered at Easter that the plaque had been torn off and thrown away.
Less than three months after Dundee City Council replaced it she returned to find the plaque had been defaced with the words ‘good for u’.
Mrs Goodfellow said the damage has made the loss of her husband harder to bear.
