A Carnoustie minister will be using a hidden flair to encourage people to embrace their talents tomorrow (Saturday).
The Rev. Matthew Bickett will play the piano for a marathon eight hours in the Panbride Hall as part of the church’s Year of Stewardship of Talents.
There will be tea, coffee and cake served all day and Matthew hopes that lots of people will come along to support him and hopefully give a donation which will go towards the Panbride kitchen fund.
The piano has been a lifelong passion for Matthew who started playing at the age of seven. He said: “I usually try and play for some time each day but I’ve been doing it in hour sessions so I know roughly how much music I need. I’ve got quite a variety of music, from classical to [The] Beatles and what I would call pop music.”
Apart from a few short breaks, Matthew will be playing constantly from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cordially invites everybody to come along and have a listen.
