Probus report

MRS HELEN Gardiner was Abertay Probus Club’s speaker at the Wednesday meeting in the Woodlands Hotel.

Members were entertained with the farmer’s wife’s amusing tales of country life and joined in singing with her the songs she had composed. Michael Beattie was in the chair and Nigel Brown proposed a vote of thanks.

Charity coffee morning

THE TAYSIDE branch of Headway is holding a coffee morning tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.30 a.m. to 12 noon in Monifieth Community Cabin. Tickets are £1.

Fund-raiser cancelled

THE BINGO night planned as a fund-raising event for Monifieth Community Resource Group tomorrow (Saturday) in the Community Cabin has been cancelled.

The Original Factory Shop this week handed over a donation of £600.

A meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. in the Community Cabin, with an invitation to all residents, groups and organisations to attend.
