ANGUS Provost Ruth Leslie Melville visited Angus College recently when she found out why they are worthy Angus Ambassadors.
The college was described by the Provost as “entrepreneurial” and “visionary” after they were named as International Ambassadors for Angus 2010.
Kay Gilmour, director of marketing and business growth at the college, said: “It’s our successes with our trans-national projects that made us apply for this award.
“As well as completed work with Malawi, sharing best practice and ideas, we are delighted with the success of our soft skills project, a course delivered in the college’s SkillZone.”
The success of the college is further reflected in its planned £200,000 refurbishment of the college kitchen and the completion of a new enterprise centre.
The Provost said: “A partnership approach is the way forward. By working together we are making a difference. Angus College is truly inspirational in its international relations and in its entrepreneurial endeavours and we are proud to have Angus College International as our ambassador for Angus.”
