THREE local crooners were back in concert by popular demand on Friday and raised £3,600 for charity.

In the second of the ‘That’s Life’ charity concerts, singers Doug Ford, Stuart Cargill and Alan Mowatt belted out tunes from the Rat Pack at the Meadowbank Inn.

The group paid tribute to the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior and at one point the trio looked like they had come straight from a scene of the original ‘Ocean’s 11’ movie.

The capacity crowd all enjoyed themselves and as the small hours approached, the concert finished with a beautiful encore of Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’.

The ‘That’s Life’ concert idea came from a chance meeting between the three men while at another event.

Stuart’s wife Susan suggested they get together and put on a show themselves with the first taking place last month.

Both concerts have been a phenomenal success and raising in the region of £3,600 which will be shared between the local charities the British Heart Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support.
