A READER is backing Monifieth Community Council’s calls for improvements and repairs to the Blue Seaway play park.
Last week, the Gazette reported that the local community council were concerned that the play area was suffering from neglect and decay and that damage had been carried out to the equipment.
And reader Emma Partridge told us via Twitter: “I must admit we have stopped using the park now as there isn’t much for my youngest two now.
“Its a shame it won’t be ready for the eco fun day this weekend.
“It does need fixed as we get a lot of visitors at the caravan parks in the summer and as I don’t drive it is a lot more convenient for me than going to Carnoustie or Castle Green.
“Unfortunately this area is lacking in entertainment for youths and I think that’s perhaps why the vandalism happens, although that’s no excuse!”
A PLANNING planning application has been submitted to Angus Council for Carnoustie by Mr Graham Strachan.
It is for alterations and extension to dwellinghouse and additional entrance at 36 Carlogie Road.
