Details for services on Remembrance Sunday this weekend have been announced.
In Carnoustie veterans, cadets and uniformed groups will form up at the Royal British Legion Scotland clubrooms on Dundee Street at 12.15pm before parading along to the War Memorial for 12.30pm.
A service of commemoration lead by Father Michael Carrie will follow and wreaths will be laid. If the weather is bad the service will be held in Carnoustie Church.
Prior to this, at 10am, a short service will be held at the VC memorial at the beach front, with a member of the Samson family and a resident of Jarvis Place laying wreaths.
In Monifieth at 10.15am the Remembrance Parade will be led by two local pipe bands from Reform Street, along High Street to St Rules, Monifieth Parish Church, for a service at 10.45am.
Following the service of Remembrance, the parade will re-assemble, and march along Hill Street, and down into Lower Albert Street, to stop at the War Memorial.
After the laying of wreaths by community groups, there will be a short joint service led by clergy from the town’s three churches.
Following the march past, pipe-bands will again lead the parade back to Reform Street for dismissal.
