Blues fans will be able to take their fill this weekend as the annual Smokie Blues Festival returns to the town.
Tomorrow (Saturday), there will be a full day of great music and fun featuring three premier bands from the British blues scene in two of Arbroath’s top venues.
Cry Baby And The Hoochie Coochie Boys from Stoke-on-Trent, The Paddy Maguire Blues Band from Ireland by way of Halifax, West Yorkshire, and The Yah’s Blues Band from Dumfries, will be appearing in a total of six gigs spread between Coast and De Vitos.
The Yah’s will be playing between 3 and 5 p.m. in Coast and 7 and 9 p.m. in De Vitos. Paddy Maguire will appear in Coast between 6 and 8 p.m. and De Vitos from 10 p.m. to midnight. Cry Baby will perform in De Vitos from 4 until 6 p.m. and Coast from 9 to 11 p.m.
