RESIDENTS and staff at Arbroath’s Balhousie Monkbarns Care Home were treated to a special Easter delivery of more than 50 chocolate eggs thanks to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) Contact Centre in Dundee.

Balhousie Monkbarns carer Lindsay Russell’s mum, Kirsteen, works at the centre and had asked colleagues to help raise money to ensure all the residents had a happy Easter.

Residents and staff got together on Easter Sunday for a small celebration and to enjoy the chocolate treats they had been given.

Joyce Chalmers, manager at Balhousie Monkbarns Care Home, said: “This was a lovely surprise for the residents when the Easter eggs were delivered to the home on Sunday.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at HMRC Dundee for their kind donations which really made Easter that little bit more special for the residents and staff who all enjoyed their very tasty chocolate eggs.”

Newly rebuilt to an exceptional level of luxury and comfort, Balhousie Monkbarns Care Home now offers light and airy ensuite accommodation for up to 65 residents. The new home replaced the previous care home and includes a ‘B’ cafe for residents and relatives as well as local community meetings, an internet lounge, enclosed garden, spacious lounge and quiet areas and a busy events programme.
