The council is carrying out a review of polling districts and polling places in a number of its wards in Angus.
Specifically, they are - Brechin and Edzell (Ward 2); Carnoustie and District (Ward 5); Arbroath West and Letham (Ward 6) and Arbroath East and Lunan (Ward 7).
An Angus Council spokesman said: “This follows the fifth general review of local government electoral ward boundaries, which led to changes to Angus ward boundaries.
“As a result, polling districts and the provision of polling places require to be reviewed so they take account of these amendments, which were approved by Scottish Ministers in September.
“There has also been a review of polling arrangements in Brechin to take account of the closure of a local polling venue.”
The consultation period began on Wednesday, October 26 and will run until Wednesday, November 23.
Consultation documents have been issued to local area MPs, MSPs, elected members, community councils, local political parties and other organisations.
Comments and representations, along with suggestions for alternative arrangements, are welcomed from all interested parties and can be made to email@example.com or in writing to the Returning Officer, Election Office, Print Unit, Sylvie Way, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AY.
The deadline for representations is 5pm on Friday, November 18.
The outcome of the review will be published on December 31.
