On Sunday, September14, a dozen of Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Crew and Supporters participated in the Dundee Cyclathon which started at Camperdown Park at 10.30 a.m..

The cyclathon is a circuit of the 26.8 miles Green Circular Route around Dundee. Their aim was to raise a few pounds towards the RNLI and also raise the profile of the organisation.

None of the Lifeboat participants had any real cycling experience, however, all happily volunteered and had an enjoyable day and enjoyed a bit of camaraderie along the way!

This group have chosen to raise funds for the RNLI and every penny raised by them goes towards the good work that the RNLI do, of saving lives at sea.

Anyone wishing to donate the the Lifeboat crews efforts can do so via their Just Giving site www.justgiving.com/BROUGHTY-FERRY-LIFEBOAT-CREW/

The Cyclathon is run by Claverhouse Rotary Club and raises thousands of pounds for local charities annually.
