A FURTHER phase of road improvement works will begin in Carnoustie next week.
On Monday Westhaven Road will close for the commencement of an £80,000 project of essential improvements.
The road will be closed for one week while the first phase of essential resurfacing and drainage work is carried out.
The road will close for a further week between Westhaven Park and Panbride Road for the second phase of improvements.
Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
Also closing on Monday for seven weeks of resurfacing and drainage work is North Burnside Street.
For the first two weeks of improvements the Dundee Street junction with North Burnside Street and Burnside Street will also be closed.
Buses and traffic will be diverted via Brown Street, Kinloch Street and Links Avenue. Temporary bus stops will be in place on Kinloch Street.
The North Burnside Street roadworks is valued at £120,000 and Tayside Contracts has been appointed to carry out this and the Westhaven Road project.
