A BROUGHTY Ferry councillor has welcomed the installation of a pedestrian safety barrier at a popular children’s play area.
In response to concerns raised by parents, Councillor Derek Scott approached the council’s city development department about the need for a safety barrier at the north west exit from Sandy Park on East Balgillo Road.
Councillor Scott told the Guide & Gazette: “The exit is located at the corner of the park and pedestrians emerge at the very busy roundabout on the A92. The lack of a safety barrier at this location was worrying and I asked for action to be taken to address it.
The necessary work was carried out by Tayside Contracts last week.”
