CARNOUSTIE Canine Capers were out in force to publicise national poop scoop week.

Members manned stalls at the Wallace Veterinary Centre and at Mel’s Pet Shop on the Monday and Wednesday during pool scoop week.

Canine Capers spokesperson Heather Fraser said: “It’s no longer acceptable to leave dog mess where it lies.

“We are trying to encourage people to bag it and bin it as part of the Dog’s Trust Initiative’s ‘poop scoop week’.

“We are trying to help clean up our public spaces, and while the majority of dog owners are responsible, a careless few are giving everyone else a bad name.”

The ‘green dog walker’s pledge’ encourages members to share extra bags with non-members and to always clean up after their dogs.
